Galway 3-13 Carlow 0-7:Galway eased into the All-Ireland minor semi-finals in Tullamore, yesterday. They led 1-3 to 0-2 after the opening quarter, Jonathan Ryan landing a goal on seven minutes.

Carlow responded through Cormac Mullins and Brendan Murphy, but Galway went ahead 1-5 to 0-2 after 21 minutes with Ryan and Paul Conroy landing frees.

Carlow's Daniel St Ledger kicking two frees, while Mullins flicked a point to trail 1-6 to 0-5 at the break. Galway's Damien Reddington goaled after 40 minutes and Ryan added a point for 2-8 to 0-7 lead. Michael Martyn scored 1-2 in the closing five minutes.
