PORTUGUESE striker Sa Pinto faces a three-year ban after attacking national coach Artur Jorge earlier this week.

The 23-year-old, who has now been dropped from the team to play Northern Ireland in a World Cup qualifier this weekend in Belfast, insisted on Wednesday that Jorge had insulted him.

"I simply lost my head and attacked him," said Sa Pinto.
