Andre Fabre looks set to continue his good record in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe tomorrow by scoring a fifth success with the unbeaten Sagamix at Longchamp.

A proven mudlark with ample scope for improvement, Sagamix should again relish the underfoot conditions and can prove that his Prix Niel win was no flash in the pan.

Croco Rouge, although running well, was strictly beaten on merit in the Niel, which leaves the two great imponderables, Dream Well and Sea Wave.

Dream Well, the French and Irish Derby winner, clearly ran below par in the Niel in which he was beaten 11 1/2 lengths into third. He is clearly much better than that.

Whereas Sea Wave veered sharply left as the gates opened and unshipping Frankie Dettori. He, too, gets another chance to prove his undoubted class, having been supplemented for this.

However, the greatest threat to Sagamix may come from Michael Kinane's mount, High-Rise (winner of the Epsom Derby), who probably ran the best Arc trial of all when second to Swain in the King George.

Leggera and Limpid , the two other supplementary entries, are both passed over on this occasion, as is the French Oaks winning, Zainta, who is by no means guaranteed to see out the trip.

Aidan O'Brien's impressive Diadem Stakes winner, Bianconi, may follow up in the Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp on the same card.

Gold Away and Insight are taken to secure the spoils in the Prix du Rond-Point and Prix de l'Opera.
