Ger Teefy will remember his year as captain of the East Clare club. Teefy started the year off a 14 handicap but is now down to 10 after winning the president's (Michael Fahy) prize and also reaching the final of the club matchplay championship.

Teefy's 62 in the president's prize was achieved with a pair of borrowed golf shoes after he forgot to bring his own.
