THE BBC will screen tomorrow's rescheduled Dubai World Cup which will start 40 minutes earlier than originally planned. RTE radio's Des Scahill will commentate on the big race which was washed out on Saturday.

The $4 million race will be shown on BBC 2 at 4.35 p.m. following the network's coverage of the first day of the Grand National meeting.

With Channel 4 unable to rearrange its schedule to screen the race, the BBC has added 15 minutes to its racing programme after the Glenlivet Novices' Hurdle at Aintree at 4.20 D.m.

The first race of the six-race meeting will now begin at 1.20 p.m. (4.20 p.m. in Dubai), with the Dubai Duty Free which will not be shown live starting at 3.50 p.m. (6.50 p.m.).
