De La Salle, Dundalk and Scoil Eoin, Athy both registered a single unconverted try in their drawn game at Mullingar RFC yesterday.
De La Salle struck first on 28 minutes when captain and scrumhalf Thomas Campbell fed the ball to Shane O'Callaghan, who ran in from 15 metres. Campbell missed the touchline conversion.
Ten minutes from the end Scoil Eoin equalised following a line-out on the left. The ball was moved along the back line where outhalf Dessie Lawlor skipped past centre Peter Dunne and set up fellow centre Aaron Cuddy who ran in unopposed. The touchline conversion was missed by number eight Barry Cardiff.
