Women's international/Ireland - 0 Scotland - 9: Ireland's women's side are still seeking their first Six Nations success against Scotland after going down to three penalty goals at Navan last night.

Defences dominated and there were few try-scoring opportunities for either side. Four players were sinbinned in a second half that produced nearly 20 minutes of stoppage time.

Scotland scrumhalf and captain Paula Chalmers kicked all the points, finding her range at either end of the opening half to leave it 6-0 at the break.

Ireland's Grace Davitt was narrowly wide with a penalty attempt in the first half while Sarah Jane Belton missed the target with a similar kick from in front of the posts on the restart.
