St Oliver's, Drogheda came from behind to earn a replay in the opening round of the Section A yesterday.
Kilkenny led 3-0 at the end of a low key opening half thanks to a penalty from Austin Murphy.
The same player got the first try of the game early in the second half and then slotted over the conversion.
Calvin Dunbar opened St Oliver's account with the first of his two tries but his side trailed by 17-5 after Joe Manuel's try was converted by Murphy.
The Drogheda school rallied during the closing ten minutes of the game and, the last move of the game, Shane Monahan scored the try that earned them a second chance.
