Team news: New Limerick football manager Mickey Ned O'Sullivan has selection problems for the visit of Roscommon in the National League games on Sunday.
All five dual players - Stephen Lucey, Conor Fitzgerald, Brian Begley, Mark O'Riordan and Mike O'Brien - have opted to play hurling this season and top scorers Muiris Gavin and Owen Keating are out with long-term injuries.
O'Sullivan must also plan without long-serving full back Tommy Stack, who has asked for a 12-month break. The hugely talented Padraig Browne is rated a doubtful starter for Sunday as he is studying.
Sunday's Division Two A game against Roscommon at the Gaelic Grounds was originally scheduled to start at 2.30pm but the throw-in has been changed to 3pm to accommodate the Munster Cup hurling final between Limerick and Waterford IT which starts at 1.30pm at the same venue.
Roscommon also have some injuries and experienced attacker Stephen Lohan will miss the early stages of the league with a recurrence of a knee injury. Lohan sustained the injury in the Connacht League semi-final loss to Mayo and will be out for at least six weeks.
Meanwhile, the women's National Football League was launched yesterday by the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern together with His Excellency, the Japanese Ambassador to Ireland, Keiichi Hayashi and his wife, Hiroko.
Sponsors Suzuki announced a new three-year deal and it all starts this weekend with a re-run of last year's All-Ireland final between champions Cork and Galway the standout fixture.
All 32 counties are represented in the three-division league, while 11 counties - Galway, Laois, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary, Mayo, Meath, Waterford, Dublin, Louth and Monaghan - will field B teams in their own two-group league.
The Division One and Two finals will be shown live on TG4 on Saturday, May 6th.
