THE Ireland team to meet Scotland in the International Championship at Lansdowne Road on Saturday week and the A team to meet Scotland at Donnybrook on Friday week will be chosen at an hotel at Dublin Airport tomorrow night. It is anticipated that the teams will be announced around nine o'clock.

The original intention was that the selectors would meet tonight but plans were changed because of the marathon journey the Ireland party had to endure returning from Atlanta.

The main body of the party did not get to Dublin until after 6.30 last evening having travelled from Atlanta to Copenhagen and then via Manchester to Dublin. Others travelled from Copenhagen to Belfast and some to London.

The manager Pat Whelan had to travel on to Limerick, while coach Murray Kidd and selector Donal Lenihan had to go on to Cork.

"In the circumstances I thought it advisable to defer the team selections for 24 hours," said Whelan.
