WITH Robin Seymour's place in the Olympic mountain bike race at Sydney already secured, he enhanced his position in the world rankings again from 56th to 53rd by finishing sixth in the last qualifying event, the Tour de Wolf at Memphis, Tennessee, on Sunday.
This does not improve Ireland's place of 20th of the top 22 nations to make up the Olympic line-up of 100 but Seymour added another nine points to his world total bringing him to 369.
Over 100 took part on Sunday and an unclassified American Chris Eatough emerged best after an hour and 50 minutes of racing by 1 minute 40 seconds from the top ranked American, Tinker Juaraz, who is at number 33.
