Intertoto Cup second round second leg/ Shelbourne 1 Odense BK 0 Odense win 3-1 on aggregate: A first-half goal from Joseph Ndo gave Shelbourne hope as they chased a 3-0 first-leg deficit, but a physically stronger Odense held out to book their place in the Inter-toto Cup third round against the Scottish side Hibernian.

Afterwards Shelbourne manager Pat Fenlon denied there was any outstanding issue over the non-payment of players' wages.

"There is no dispute," he said. "The only people that spoke about any dispute is yourselves."

The players and staff of the club issued a brief statement, however, via the club's website stating they had come to an agreement with the club and hoped this would see all issues resolved.

Glen Crowe fed Ollie Cahill on the left and his cross was turned home by former Cameroon international Ndo to give Shelbourne a 32nd-minute lead. It was no more than their first-half play deserved as Stuart Byrne headed over from Bobby Ryan's cross and Alan Moore hit a long-range shot that Arek Onyszko had to deal with in the following few minutes.

Crowe then headed over unchallenged from Ndo's corner as Shelbourne really stretched Odense for the remainder of the half. But Bruce Rioch's Danes weathered that well and were much tighter in the second half.

The physical presence of Jamie Harris, introduced for the last 20 minutes or so, troubled Odense, and he headed wide from another Cahill cross, while a cheeky free-kick from Ndo hit the side-netting.

Ndo then set up Stuart Byrne from a last-minute free-kick that Onyszko did well to hold. "We won it well," said Fenlon. "I thought we played really well and I was very happy with the performance."
