REPUBLIC of Ireland mid fielder John Sheridan is thinking over a move to Birmingham.

The English League Cup semi finalists want Sheridan (31) to play in the first leg of the semi final against Leeds on Sunday.

Manager Barry Fry has agreed a deal with Sheffield Wednesday that would involve the player moving to St Andrews initially on loan.

Sheridan said yesterday "I'll make a decision later and do what's right for me. I know my contract's up at the end of the season but it's no use me sitting around here till then."

The clubs are thought to have agreed on £60,000 for a month's loan, another £600,000 if Sheridan agrees to stick on a full deal, plus a further £200,000 if Birmingham win promotion to the Premiership.
