European Tour: India's Jeev Milkha Singh rejuvenated his career by winning his first tournament in seven years in the Volvo China Open.
Singh started the day one shot behind leader David Lynn, but fired a two-under-par 70 for a 10-under-par total of 278 at Honghua International Golf Club.
He finished one stroke ahead of Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, who also carded a closing 70, with Lynn a further shot behind in third after a 73.
Peter Lawrie closed with two level par rounds to finish in the top-15 on three under par, while Damien McGrane shot a final round 71 to be one shot back.
Singh fired four birdies and two bogeys, including a three-putt at the 18th.
Singh, who has battled a series of career-threatening injuries, including a serious wrist problem which put him out of the game for a year, said: "My focus was really good today and my composure was really good too.
"I didn't even go for the flag on the 18th hole and I decided to play it safe. I knew even if I had a bogey on the last, I would still win the tournament and that was my game plan."
Singh, who was paired with Lynn in the final group, took the outright lead with a birdie on the eighth, but Lynn drew level with a birdie on the 10th.
A bizarre incident then threatened to derail Singh's challenge on the 11th. His wayward drive ended in the woods, where a spectator picked up the ball and ran away with it, forcing Singh to gain permission from the tournament referee to replace it.
"My ball was down there and this guy was walking with my golf ball in his hand," said Singh. "There were so many people saying so many things to him and he got confused and scared and just let the ball go."
In an ensuing melee, another man, upset at the huge breach of golf etiquette, launched a boot at the offender's backside.
"I just told him to relax, and the rules official came and told the guy to tell me where the ball stopped. The person asks him, and while he was doing it someone from the gallery came out and kicked him."
Event officials said behaviour at the tournament this week had generally been good, although the ubiquitous use of mobile phones, though banned, caused occasional problems.
Indeed, Peter Lawrie's caddy was heard politely remonstrating with one local accompanied by his toddler daughter in a sparse gallery at the second tee on Friday.
"We're delighted to have you here," he said. "But you're standing too close and making too much noise."
