Women's NFL Division Two final/Laois 6-10 Kildare 0-11: Laois collected their second women's football National League Division Two title at Parnell Park on Saturday.

Brianne Leahy had drawn Kildare level after Emer Fitzpatrick had netted Laois's first goal on two minutes.

Laois then took the sting out of the game with Martha Kirwan and Kathleen O'Reilly establishing a 3-4 to 0-5 lead with 20 minutes gone.

Kildare countered with three points before the break to leave the half-time score reading 3-5 to 0-8 in Laois's favour.

They then went 18 minutes without scoring during which time Laois killed off the game with goals from Tracey Lawlor and Jessica Curley .

Clare beat Leitrim by 3-7 to 1-12 in the Division Three final in Athlone.

Clare led by a point with 59 seconds left when Leitrim's Claire Owens scored a goal.

However, straight from the resulting kick-out, Clare's Tammy Hehir netted to for a dramatic win.
