Irish Racing News: Yesterday may have come out on top in Sunday's Entenmann's Irish 1,000 Guineas but officially the beaten odds-on favourite Six Perfections is still the better horse.

Europe's handicappers have decided to keep Six Perfections at her juvenile rating of 121 while Yesterday has been raised to 117 on the back of her Guineas success.

The assessment comes after John Murtagh's controversial ride on the French star who lost out on classic success for the second time this season at the Curragh.

Murtagh has been widely criticised for his performance on Six Perfections and the handicappers seem to be of a similar mind.

Ireland's flat handicapper Gary O'Gorman said yesterday: "I recommended that Six Perfections be not dropped from 121 because clearly she would have won on Sunday with a clear run, notwithstanding the protestations of the jockey.

"Yesterday has been raised to 117 and given any sort of give in the ground at Epsom she clearly must go for the Oaks with a very strong chance.

"We've rated Six Perfections at 116 for Sunday with Dimitrova (third) on 114 and L'ancresse (fourth) on 109."

The fallout from Murtagh's display continued yesterday with Paddy Power actually betting on who will ride Six Perfections next time she races outside of France.

Murtagh is only 100 to 30 with the firm while Thierry Thulliez, dropped after his own nightmare at Newmarket, is a 1 to 4 favourite to get back on the Pascal Bary- trained star.

Paddy Power also quote Kieren Fallon (7 to 1) and Michael Kinane (16 to 1) in their book. Bary said on Sunday that the Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville in August could be Six Perfections' next start.

The handicappers have rated Saturday's 2,000 Guineas as being well up to standard with Indian Haven given a new mark of 122.

That puts the English colt 3lb clear of the Newmarket hero Refuse To Bend and O'Gorman said: "Time, and the St James' Palace Stakes, will tell us a lot more but Indian Haven was the big improver.

"France (120) improved considerably from the French Guineas which we might have under-estimated and Tout Seul is on 115.

"Black Minnaloushe (117) and Bachir (118) have been comparatively lowly rated winners of the Guineas but Indian Haven is right in the ball park with the likes of Spinning World (122) and Barathea (123.)"

The assessments were made after O'Gorman consulted with his counterparts in the UK and France.
