Galwegians recorded their third victory in a row in the All-Ireland League campaign at the expense of Wanderers at Crowley Park yesterday. This win was fashioned by six tries which earned a bonus point.
The home side led 12-6 at halftime with tries from Willie Ruane and Peter Boland, one of which Eric Elwood converted. Russell Southam landed two penalties in reply.
Early in the second half, the margin was no more than 15-13, for after Elwood kicked a penalty, Nigel Osbourne crossed for a Wanderers try with Southam adding the points.
