SIXMILEBRIDGE will again start without their captain, Ian Mulready, for Sunday's All Ireland club hurling final against Antrim's Dunloy at Croke Park.
Wing back Mulready, injured for the semi final against Galway champions Sarsfields, has not regained full fitness and is again replaced by Pat Hayes on the left. However, Mulready is on the bench and is likely to be brought on during the game.
Dublin hurlers, who conceded home advantage so that they would not have to play Laois in the deferred National Hurling League Division Two tie last Sunday week, travel to O'Moore Park tomorrow with just five points to show for their endeavours so far. Their chances of finishing as one of the three teams to be promoted are scant.
Dublin need to win their last two matches (against Laois and Westmeath) and to get favourable results in other ties in the final round to be in with a shout.
Dublin manager Jimmy Gray had severe selection problems because of injuries. Two of his leading players, Liam Walsh and Mick Morrissey, are out with broken collarbones from games last weekend, and Andy O'Callaghan went over on a ankle in the challenge against O'Toole's last weekend.
Sean Callinan of Na Fianna gets his chance in defence while Sean Duignan moves from right wing back (left vacant) to centre half back. Joe Dalton of St Kevin's is given another chance as attack leader, and Niall Butler displaces the inconsistent John Small at right corner forward.
Brian Corcoran returns to the Munster team for next Monday's interprovincial football championship semi final replay against Ulster in Ennis. He had been chosen on the team for Clones last weekend, but had to opt out because of injury and was replaced by Brendan Rouine of Clare.
Ulster manager Brian McEniff is well used to the vagaries of team management, and last night was yet another occasion for him to grin and bear it when naming his team for Monday's match.
Only three Ulster teams, Antrim Monaghan and Derry are free of McKenna Cup competition involvement on Sunday, limiting McEniff's chances of first preference on some key players.
However, Tony Boyle, who opted for Donegal in a festival match in Manchester last week, is included.
DJ Kane will not be available to play in defence for Ulster, but he is named in the Down team for Sunday. Brian Murray of Donegal, who moves to right half forward, is not available for his county on Sunday because of work.
Brian McGilligan (Derry) and Stephen King (Cavan) make up the Ulster midfield, while Joe Brolly (Derry) is introduced in attack. The Monaghan pair, Declan Loughman and Peter Duffy, are dropped.
