Juventus legend John Charles has told Robbie Keane to persevere with his career in Italy.
Rumours are sweeping Milan that Republic of Ireland striker Keane, who moved to Inter from Coventry City for £13.5 million sterling during the summer, is set to leave the San Siro when the Italian transfer window opens next month.
Keane has failed to find the form which prompted the Serie A giants to move for him in the first place but Charles, one of the few star names to have made the transition from English to Italian football, has told the youngster to stay where he is.
"Serie A is seen by those who watch it as the best league in the world. The fans over there have a superior attitude towards their game but if Robbie can stick it out and see out the current problems they will soon start to love him."
Wales international Charles made his name with Leeds before moving to Turin in 1957, where he scored 93 goals in 155 games.
Ruben Garzon Martin, a young Barcelona fan, found Pope John Paul II's Nou Camp season ticket in his mail recently, Spanish daily As reported yesterday.
Martin received the Pope's honorary membership of the club after a computing error. He returned the ticket and will receive another soon.
Ronaldo's physiotherapist and doctor are optimistic about his prospects of a recovery from a long-term knee injury.
The 23-year-old Brazil and Inter Milan striker has been convalescing since the beginning of the month in the French Atlantic town of Capbreton at the European Sports medical centre, whose director Patrick Middleton said: "If he wants to play again there is nothing to stop him.
I've seen others with more serious knee injuries get back to fitness." Remy Roulland, the physiotherapist working with Ronaldo expressed similar sentiments. "I've seen both rugby and football players come back from worse positions," he said.
Manchester United's Wes Brown is set to make a surprise comeback from his knee injury in time for Saturday's derby against Manchester City.
It was feared Brown could be out for several weeks after he came off during last weekend's win over Middlesbrough and manager Alex Ferguson immediately ruled him out of England's friendly with Italy last night.
Ronny Johnsen is also back training following his ankle injury and could figure on Saturday.
Roy Keane should shrug off his tight hamstring which prevented him from playing for the Republic of Ireland against Finland last night, while Paul Scholes is expected to recover from his thigh problem.
Celtic manager Martin O'Neill is hoping to persuade Lubo Moravcik to delay his retirement. The Slovakian midfielder is adamant that he will call it a day when the season is over even if Celtic qualify for the Champions League.
But O'Neill told the Celtic View: "Lubo's in the driving seat. If he comes to me in May and says he doesn't want to hang up his boots, I'll be absolutely delighted."
