An hour after declaring he would remain at Arsenal despite being courted by AC Milan, Emmanuel Adebayor has clouded the issue again by claiming a decision on his future will be made next week.

Arsenal fans will have been relieved to here comments made by the Togo international in Vienna earlier today, when he declared: "I am an Arsenal player and have three years left on my contract.

"The most important thing for me is to keep on enjoying my football. I'm staying at Arsenal.

"You can see people changing clubs because of money, because they want a change of atmosphere or to get their names in the big leagues. I just play football to enjoy myself. I play because I love it.

"We all have the same ideas and we all want to achieve something. We have a good boss which is Arsene Wenger, he tries to bring this atmosphere to the dressing room where we feel like brothers and like family.

"Those are the reasons that give us a chance to play the football we play. We play good football, now we look forward to winning trophies."

This appeared to rule out a move to Milan, a club that has made no secret of its desire to sign the African striker.

It had also prompted the Italian giants to renew their interest in Barcelona's Brazilian frontman Ronadlinho.

"There is a 'yes' from coach Carlo Ancelotti to go for the Brazilian," Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport. "It's Ronaldinho or Adebayor. Buying one excludes taking the other.

"Ancelotti is ready to build a Milan with Ronaldinho and without Adebayor," said Galliani, before adding: "We will not pay the €35million wanted by Barcelona. This sum must fall."

However, Adebayor's statement of loyalty was quickly followed by inconclusive comments on Sky Sports.

"I am footballer, I have a three-year contract at Arsenal but as you know, a lot of clubs are interested in me," he said. "At the moment we are just going to sit down and talk and decide what to do.

"Nothing has been decided yet. We will decide next week."
