Premier League review:The pressure on Portsmouth manager Tony Adams further increased after he saw his side crash to a 3-1 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage, while Arsenal and Aston Villa were both held scoreless and Kevin Davies scored twice to give Bolton a 3-2 win over Spurs.

Darren Bent then scored twice in two minutes to level for Tottenham. His first came from close range after some good work from Aaron Lennon down the right before he pounced to tap home after Jussi Jaaskelainen spilled a Wilson Palacios shot to level.

Davies bravely climbed to head home a Matthew Taylor cross to give Bolton all three points.

Aston Villa failed to take advantage of Arsenal’s slip-up and could only manage a goalless draw with Wigan at Villa Park.

After a frustrating first half, Villa came close to breaking the deadlock when Zat Knight climbed high to beat Chris Kirkland from a Gareth Barry cross but his header hit a post.

Chris Brunt’s late penalty grabbed a crucial point for West Brom at Hull to deny the Tigers their first win in seven.

Bernard Mendy beat the offside trap after being played through by Ian Ashbee to round Scott Carson and score the opener.

Albion levelled just after the break when James Morrison jinked into the Hull box and squared to Simpson who slid the ball past Matt Duke.

The Tigers then took the lead with a Craig Fagan strike before Brunt scored from the spot after Kamil Zayatte pulled down Robert Koren in the box to earn the draw.

Middlesbrough and Blackburn both ended the day in the relegation zone after they played out a 0-0 draw at the Riverside Stadium.
