Shamrock Rovers 2 UCD 2:Four days after their heroics in Belgrade, Shamrock Rovers appeared to lose a little focus at home to UCD in the FAI Cup and conceded two second half goals as the Students deservedly snaffled a replay at Tallaght Stadium.

After a fairly pedestrian first half, Rovers took the lead through Karl Sheppard and doubled it with a goal from Ciaran Kilduff.

The response from UCD was to introduce former Rovers youth player Samir Belhout, who scored within four minutes of coming on when he latched on to Darren Meenan’s ball and expertly beat goalkeeper Ryan Thompson.

The Dubliner was then taken down by Pat Flynn as he raced on to a punted clearance. After the Rovers man was rightly given his marching orders, Meenan free was met at the backpost by the head of Robbie Creevy ensuring a replay back at the Belfield Bowl next week.
