Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez resisted the temptation to tinker with his starting line-up for the first time in almost 100 matches games as he named an unchanged team for this evening's Champions League clash with Bordeaux.

Having rotated his squad for 99 successive games, the Spaniard keeps faith with the side that overcame Aston Villa at the weekend for the visit of the French side to Anfield.

Andriy Shevchenko, meanwhile, lost his fight to overcome a thigh problem in time to join Chelsea's attack in Barcelona. Shevchenko travelled to Spain and trained with the squad yesterday for the first time since suffering the injury.

He looked in some discomfort despite completing the session and boss Jose Mourinho decided to pair Arjen Robben with Didier Drogba in the Nou Camp. Shevchenko was not even on the bench.

Robben's inclusion was the only change to the Chelsea team which beat Barcelona 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, two weeks ago.
