Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez hit out at the officials for the amount of second-half stoppage-time that allowed Chelsea's last-gasp equaliser at Anfield.

The Blues were heading for a 1-0 defeat thanks to Dirk Kuyt's 43rd-minute goal but John Arne Riise nodded a Salomon Kalou cross into his own net in the 95th minute.

"At the end, you must be really disappointed," Benitez said. "One minute in the first half, four minutes in the second half."

The Spaniard insisted Liverpool would have been deserved winners, adding: "We had the better chances."
