Bohemians 5 Rhyl 1: Bohemians came from behind in stunning fashion in the second half to take full control of their Intertoto Cup first round match against Rhyl.
The Welsh side took the lead in the 25th minute when Ken Oman deflected Mark Connolly's angled effort into his own goal — but Pat Fenlon's men hit back in convincing fashion after the break.
Jason Byrne equalised from a free-kick in the 52nd minute, then Owen Heary put the hosts ahead on the hour when he headed in Neale Fenn's corner.
The comeback continued three minutes later at Dalymount Park when Killian Brennan scored from the penalty spot — after being fouled himself — to make it 3-1.
Brennan then set up former Tottenham striker Fenn for a fourth goal in the 72nd minute, before substitute Glen Crowe rounded off a miserable night for the Lilywhites nine minutes from time.
It means the eircom League side have a big advantage to take into next Saturday's return leg against their League of Wales opponents at Belle Vue, with Latvia's FK Riga or Iceland's Fylkir awaiting in the second round.
