Bolton have signed Iran midfielder Andranik Teymourian on a two-year contract.
The deal was completed after the club obtained a work permit for the 23-year-old, who joins from Iranian side Abu Moslem.
Teymourian is a defensive midfielder, who has won 11 caps for his country and played in all three of their matches at the World Cup this summer.
Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce said: "Andranik is a talented player and somebody who I believe will be able to adapt to the tough demands of the Barclays Premiership.
"He impressed a lot of people during the World Cup and I am delighted that we have beaten off a lot of competition to get his signature." PA
