The Togo team has arrived at the match stadium in Dortmund ahead of their 2pm Group G game with Switzerland, averting fears of a potential boycott.
Captain Jean-Paul Abalo warned last night that the Togo players would boycott the match unless overdue payments for reaching the World Cup finals were paid.
Reports in Germany suggest at least some of the money has now been paid to the players.
Togo had originally threatened not to travel to Dortmund for the match but relented after pressure from Fifa.
Togo manager Otto Pfister was last night bombarded with questions about the pay issue and the coach blamed the Togolese federation.
"We will see (today) if it affects the team," said Pfister, who resigned in frustration before the World Cup before returning for the 2-1 defeat to South Korea in Frankfurt.
"You must ask the Togo Football Federation these questions, not me. Football is my job. I am not responsible for how much the players are paid.
"I cannot be held responsible for money matters, okay? If I did I would go mad. I do my job, I coach football - you must ask the Togo Football Federation these questions."
