Aberdeen 0 Celtic 4:Charlie Mulgrew sent Celtic on their way to next month's Scottish Cup final with the opening goal as they hammered his former team Aberdeen 4-0 at Hampden Park.

The Dons paid the price for defender Andrew Considine's early red card as they slipped to a heavy defeat.

Jamie Langfield saved Anthony Stokes' penalty after Considine had been sent off for bringing down Gary Hooper but the Aberdeen goalkeeper was beaten by Mulgrew's curling free-kick delivery just after the break.

Joe Ledley, Kris Commons, from the spot, and Shaun Maloney took Celtic's tally for the season against Aberdeen to 21 as they set up a May 21 final against Motherwell.

Elsewhere Hamiltonboosted their slim survival prospects as James Chambers' ninth-minute strike and a Liam Miller own goal earned a 2-1victory over Hibernianat Easter Road in the Scottish Premier League.

Nigel Hasselbaink laid on the opener and missed a simple tap-in before Akpo Sodje's clearing header ricocheted in off Miller as Hamilton reduced their deficit at the foot of the table to nine points with five matches remaining.
