Soccer:Chelsea have been told they will have to fork out at least €30 million to prise winger Alexis Sanchez away from Udinese. Reports in Italy claim the London club are lining up a big-money bid for the Chile international.
Sanchez has been linked with a move away from Udine in the winter transfer market with several clubs, including Inter Milan, keen to acquire the 22-year-old’s services. And Udinese president Gianpaolo Pozzo has claimed he told Chelsea they must pay handsomely if they want to sign.
Asked about Sanchez’s value, Pozzo said: “With Chelsea, we talked about €30 million. I want this figure, if not more.”
Sanchez moved to Udinese in the summer of 2008 from River Plate and has scored five goals in 19 Serie A appearances for the Bianconeri this season. The South American star is under contract with the Friuli outfit until June 2014.
