Premier League round-up:Blackburn boss Steve Kean was booed down the tunnel for possibly the last time as his Rovers side lost their relegation duel 2-1 with Bolton at Ewood Park. Mark Davies gave the visitors the perfect start with his fourth-minute opener and Nigel Reo-Coker doubled Bolton's lead before the break.

Aiyegbeni Yakubu did pull one back for Rovers in the middle of a much-improved second-half display but it was not enough.

Bolton won a corner in the opening minute as Jason Lowe’s screwed clearance sent Mark Davies’ cross behind. And as David Dunn cleared came the first chants of “Kean Out” from the home fans, which grew in their ferocity after just four minutes, when Bolton went in front.

The home defending was pretty shambolic as Christopher Samba gets his clearance all wrong inside his own penalty area. Ngog had enough time to recover his position deep inside the home penalty area, then cut a pass back to an unmarked Davies, who stroked a first-time effort beyond Paul Robinson.

Ivan Klasnic then started the move that ended with Bolton bagging their second, finding Nigel Reo-Coker with a deft touch. Reo-Coker then found Petrov, who raced down the left wing before crossing back to the midfielder, who despite having his back to goal, had enough time to turn and drill a low shot into the bottom corner.

Yakubu gave his side a lifeline with a neat finish after the break but when Samba wasted Rovers final chance with a header just wide in the final minute of stoppage time and Kean strode away like a condemned man.

In tonight's other match in the top flight, Wolvestwice came from behind to rescue a precious point (2-2) in their battle for survival against Norwichat Molineux. Former Wolves midfielder Andrew Surman broke the deadlock only for Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, who replaced the axed Kevin Doyle, to level before half-time.

Canaries substitute Simeon Jackson restored his side’s lead with his first touch but Ronald Zubar’s first goal of the campaign rescued Wolves from a second home defeat in four days.

Doyle has managed just two goals this season and he paid the price as Wolves boss Mick McCarthy gave

Ebanks-Blake his first start since the 2-2 home draw with Swansea in October — the only change from the side beaten at home by Stoke on Saturday.

Wolves made an encouraging start and nearly went ahead in the fourth minute after Stephen Hunt was brought down by Marc Tierney. Hunt floated in a quick free-kick which Ebanks-Blake was first to react to inside the box but Zak Whitbread blocked his shot.

Norwich knocked the ball around in confident style and it came as no surprise when the Canaries went ahead after 12 minutes through Surman’s first Premier League goal for Norwich. Wes Hoolahan was played onside by Christophe Berra and burst down the left flank before crossing for the unmarked Surman to head past Wayne Hennessey.

After 37 minutes Ebanks-Blake justified his recall by levelling. The overlapping Stephen Ward’s cross found Hunt, whose shot was blocked — but the ball fell to Ebanks-Blake, whose shot was not cleanly struck but trickled over the line.

Although Wolves were having more of the play after the interval, Norwich continued to look the more dangerous. Zubar had to make a perfectly timed tackle inside the Wolves box to prevent Morison racing clear.

Hennessey then excelled himself saving a low shot through a ruck of players from Hoolahan. McCarthy brought on Adam Hammill for Hunt after 76 minutes and at the same juncture Norwich replaced Holt with Jackson.

Lambert’s switch was inspired as Jackson restored Norwich’s lead with his first touch. Morison made good ground down the left and outpaced Johnson before crossing for Jackson to net from close range. But Zubar made it 2-2 in the 82nd minute when he powered home a header from Jarvis’ corner.
