Derby manager Billy Davies has shrugged off reports he has just two games to save his job.

Reports have suggested Davies has the games against Chelsea and Sunderland to turn the club's fortunes around.

The Rams have endured a difficult start to life in the Premier League and are currently rooted to the bottom of the table.

But Davies is not worried about the speculation and insists he is just focusing on his side.

"You take media reports with a pinch of salt," Davies told the club's official website.

"That's football, when you have been in the game as long as I have as a player and manager you know what you are dealing with.

"If you let the criticism bother you, you might as well not be in the game. When you read in the papers that you've only got two games to save your job, you cannot let it bother you.

"Speculation is something managers have to deal with. You know there are mischief-makers out there."

"Two games to save my job? I think it's one game, and it seems to have been one since the start of the season.

"I will continue to work as hard as I can with the squad we have.  I have said before, I will not spend time looking over my shoulder."
