Republic of Ireland Under-21 manager Don Givens has named Tottenham Hotspur striker Terry Dixon in his squad for the forthcoming UEFA qualifying game against Belgium.

The 16-year old centre-forward is included along with Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson and former Manchester City midfielder Willo Flood.

Victory over Belgium at Terryland Park in Galway on September 1st would guarantee Ireland top spot in the group, advancing them to a two-legged play-off in October.

The winner of that tie will join six other nations and hosts Holland in next year's European Championship Finals.
