Drogheda United 2 Levadia Tallinn 1: Drogheda will travel to Estonia with every chance of progressing to a glamour tie with former semi-finalists Dynamo Kiev after a stirring comeback against Levadia Tallinn.

Experiencing the cut-and-thrust of the Champions League for the first time, Paul Doolin's side were on the back foot in the early stages at Dalymount Park and could have few complaints when the visitors secured a precious away goal.

Levadia's impressive striker Tarmo Kink opened the scoring, calmly rounding Drogheda goalkeeper Dan Connor on 27 minutes.

Given their inexperience at this level, not to mention their distinctly patchy league form, many might have expected Drogheda to buckle. But having weathered the storm until the break, the League of Ireland side took the challenge to their opponents in the second-half and were rewarded within five minutes as Ollie Cahill got them back on terms.

The goal marked a landmark for the 32-year old in his 35th Uefa club competition appearance - a new record for a player with an Irish club.

And Drogheda's endeavour continued to pay dividends as the half wore on, Fahrudin Kuduzovic grabbing the winner with 67 minutes on the clock to edge his side ahead in the tie.
