Republic of Ireland and Chelsea winger Damien Duff is poised to make an £11million switch across London to rivals Tottenham, according to reports in the British media.
It is believed the 27-year-old has already completed a medical over the weekend and is now set to sign a four-year deal with Spurs.
Duff has found himself increasingly on the periphery of things at Stamford Bridge and the arrival of new signings such as Michael Ballack and Andriy Shevchenko could mean that he is surplus to requirements.
Neither club have commented on the speculation at this point.
Spurs have also offered Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved the chance to end his career at White Hart Lane, according to the player's agent.
The 33-year old Czech Republic star is considering his future following Juve's relegation to Serie B and Spurs boss Martin Jol has been quick to register his interest.
Nedved does not fancy life in Italy's second tier and would welcome the chance of a crack at the Premiership.
He showed during the World Cup that he is still more than capable of playing at the highest level despite the Czech's early exit and has attracted interest from Monaco and a number of clubs across Asia.
"Pavel has the potential to play in a top European league," agent Zdenek Nehoda told CTK.
"Monaco, Tottenham and some clubs from United Arab Emirates and Qatar have come up with specific offers."
