Soccer – Europa League: Fulham secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over NSI Runavik in the Europa League first qualifying round first leg at Craven Cottage.

Damien Duff scored the first goal of a first half that the west Londoners dominated against the side from the Faroe Islands despite never really getting out of second gear.

Fulham peppered the visitors' goal in the second period, with Danny Murphy's penalty and Andrew Johnson's drive giving Martin Jol's side a healthy lead heading into next week's second leg.

Elsewhere St Patrick’s Athletic lost 1-0 away to IBV Vestmannaeyjar after the Airtricity League side gave away a penalty in the 50th minute.
