SATURDAY (3.0 unless stated)

Southampton (7) v Tottenham (6) (12.45)

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is confident of being able to call upon Toby Alderweireld. The defender left the field on a stretcher at Stoke last week with a suspected “dislocated shoulder”, yet he is in line to make an immediate return. Victor Wanyama (suspension) and Filip Djuricic (ankle) remain absent, as do Fraser Forster, Jay Rodriguez and Emmanuel Mayuka.

Tottenham will assess goalkeeper Hugo Lloris’ knee injury before the game, in the hope he can return from a three-match absence. Right-back Kyle Walker is out for four more weeks after suffering a foot injury against Burnley last month and could miss the rest of the season.

Burnley (20) v Leicester (18)

Burnley have no fresh injury concerns. Defender Steven Reid (calf) is back in contention and midfielder Ross Wallace (knee) has suffered no ill effects following his recent return to action. The only notable absentees are long-term knee injury victims Dean Marney and Kevin Long.

David Nugent is a major doubt for Leicester. The striker suffered a calf injury in the warm-up ahead of last Saturday’s win over Swansea. Defender Marcin Wasilewski should be fit after a dead leg while Dean Hammond continued his recovery from a calf injury by playing in an under-21 match against Manchester United on Monday.

Crystal Palace (11) v Hull (17)

Winger Lee Chung-yong could feature for Crystal Palace for the first time since his January move from Bolton after recovering from a foot fracture. Jordon Mutch is also expected to be involved after hip trouble. Strikers Marouane Chamakh and Fraizer Campbell (both hamstring) will miss out.

Mo Diame appears unlikely to feature for Hull after reporting a sore knee in training. The Senegal midfielder, who came off the bench against Southampton after a long injury absence, will be assessed before the match while manager Steve Bruce also has to cope without David Meyler (suspended), Andy Robertson (ankle) and Curtis Davies (thigh). Alex Bruce’s broken nose makes him a doubt, while Steve Harper is expected to continue in goal ahead of Allan McGregor.

Newcastle (14) v Swansea (8)

Siem de Jong will be in the Newcastle squad for the first time since August after recovering from a collapsed lung. He will be joined by striker Facundo Ferreyra, returning from a back problem. Jonas Gutierrez comes back in. Midfielder Moussa Sissoko and striker Papiss Cisse remain suspended, and defender Paul Dummett (knee) and midfielder Rolando Aarons (hamstring) are expected to miss out.

Jefferson Montero is pushing to start for Swansea. The Ecuador winger has not begun a match since mid-February, partly due to a hamstring injury. Striker Bafetimbi Gomis remains absent with a hamstring problem so loan signing Nelson Oliveira deputises up front again, while central defender Jordi Amat should fill in at left-back as Neil Taylor completes a two-match suspension.

QPR (19) v West Ham (10)

QPR manager Chris Ramsey will make a late decision on whether to risk Leroy Fer, who is close to overcoming a knee injury that has kept him out since February. Yun Suk-young is also available having recovered from concussion. Richard Dunne has recovered from a knee injury but Rio Ferdinand (knock), Eduardo Vargas and Alejandro Faurlin (both knee) remain sidelined.

West Ham remain without a number of injured players. The Hammers have won just once in their last 12 games and are still without James Tomkins (shoulder), Andy Carroll (knee) and Diafra Sakho (thigh). A calf injury sustained by full-back Guy Demel means options are limited in defence.

Stoke (9) v Sunderland (16)

Long-term injury absentee Peter Odemwingie is likely to make his Stoke return as a substitute, after suffering a serious knee problem in August. Midfielder Stephen Ireland is available despite coming off at half-time in last weekend’s win over Southampton with a knock, but defender Marc Muniesa remains sidelined by a hamstring complaint.

Adam Johnson is available to Sunderland head coach Dick Advocaat. Striker Steven Fletcher is ruled out by an ankle problem, and misses the game along with suspended midfielder Sebastian Larsson and injured defender Wes Brown (knee). Midfielders Ricky Alvarez (knee) and Emanuele Giaccherini (ankle) also also absent.

West Brom (13) v Liverpool (5)

Andre Wisdom is ineligible to play against parent club Liverpool. The defender is sidelined along with suspended midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu, while goalkeeper Ben Foster remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury. Defender Craig Dawson will be fit, despite limping off against Crystal Palace with a dead leg.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will miss a third successive match due to his hip injury. Defender Mamadou Sakho (thigh) and midfielder Lucas Leiva (thigh) are also ruled out of the trip but winger Jordon Ibe returns after being ineligible for last weekend’s FA Cup semi-final. Midfielder Adam Lallana (groin) and long-time absentee Jon Flanagan (knee) are both doubtful.

Manchester City (4) v Aston Villa (15) (17.30)

Manchester City playmaker David Silva is available after being given the all-clear following a facial injury. Striker Wilfried Bony (foot) and midfielder James Milner (knee) are also fit again but midfielder Samir Nasri (groin) misses out. Captain Vincent Kompany (groin) remains on the sidelines for at least another fortnight while defender Gael Clichy and striker Stevan Jovetic are also out.

Gabriel Agbonlahor could return for Aston Villa after missing the FA Cup win over Liverpool with a hamstring injury. Philippe Senderos (thigh) and Aly Cissokho (groin) are available while Jack Grealish is in the squad despite the emergence of a picture, taken last year, of him inhaling nitrous oxide. Ciaran Clark and Nathan Baker (both knee) miss out, along with Alan Hutton (knee) and Scott Sinclair, ineligible against his parent club.

SUNDAY

Everton (12) v Manchester United (3) (13.30)

Everton’s Steven Pienaar is a major doubt after struggling with muscle fatigue. His fellow midfielders Leon Osman (groin) and James McCarthy (ankle) both returned to training on Friday and should be available. Striker Romelu Lukaku reported no after-effects from his first appearance in a month last weekend.

Manchester United are still without a number of first-team players. Defenders Phil Jones (ankle), Marcos Rojo (adductor) and Rafael (rib) are out and midfielder Michael Carrick (calf) is also unavailable. Centre-back Jonny Evans returns from suspension, but there are doubts over midfield duo Daley Blind (ankle) and Adnan Januzaj (ankle).

Last season: Everton 2 Manchester United 0, Manchester United 0 Everton 1

Arsenal (2) v Chelsea (1) (16.00)

Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker is doubtful because of an ankle injury, and Gabriel Paulista is ready to come at centre-half in his place. Goalkeeper David Ospina and full-backs Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal are expected to return, having missed last weekend’s FA Cup win over Reading. Captain Mikel Arteta (ankle) and midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (groin) miss out.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will make a late decision on whether to risk Diego Costa’s fragile hamstrings. Costa has missed the last two matches, but could return ahead of schedule in place of Didier Drogba. Fellow striker Loic Remy (calf) is definitely out, so Dominic Solanke could be a substitute if Costa fails to make it.
