Manchester City (2) v Leicester (1) – Live BT Sport 1, 12.45

Manchester City have lost winger Jesus Navas, who faces a minimum of three weeks out with a hamstring injury suffered in the midweek win at Sunderland. Captain Vincent Kompany (calf) is making encouraging progress but is not yet fit to return. Defender Eliaquim Mangala (hamstring), midfielders Kevin De Bruyne (knee/ankle) and Samir Nasri (thigh), plus striker Wilfried Bony (shin), remain on the sidelines.

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri will assess the fitness of recent signing Daniel Amartey before deciding if he will be involved for the first time. Amartey joined the Premier League leaders on January 23rd but has yet to make the squad, having last played a competitive game for former club FC Copenhagen at the start of December because of the winter break. Only Matty James (knee) and Jeff Schlupp (hamstring) will definitely be absent for Leicester.

Aston Villa (20) v Norwich (17)

Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew is banned for the next three games after he was sent off in the 2-0 defeat at West Ham on Tuesday. Fellow strikers Libor Kozak and Rudy Gestede are also out with Kozak expected to be sidelined for a month after a minor fracture to his ankle but Gestede (hamstring) could return next week. Ashley Westwood (calf) may be available but Carlos Sanchez (hamstring), Adama Traore (foot) and Jordan Amavi (knee) are all out.

Norwich midfielder Alex Tettey must serve a one-match ban after the Norwegian was shown a 10th yellow card of the season in the midweek defeat to Tottenham. Winger Robbie Brady is expected to be available again following illness, but midfielder Graham Dorrans is still struggling to overcome a bug. Midfielder Gary O’Neil has now completed a three-match ban following his dismissal at Stoke, while striker Patrick Bamford will be in the squad for the first time since signing on loan from Chelsea ahead of the transfer deadline.

Liverpool (8) v Sunderland (19) - Live Setanta Sports 1
Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen is expected to overcome a shoulder injury to be available. Strikers Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi and playmaker Philippe Coutinho all returned to training but will not be available until next week's FA Cup replay at West Ham at the earliest. Defender Martin Skrtel has suffered a minor setback in his rehabilitation from a hamstring problem and will be out for a further two to three weeks.

Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has concerns over midfielders Yann M’Vila and Jeremain Lens. M’Vila was unable to train on Thursday as a result of a foot problem suffered after a challenge by Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero on Tuesday evening, although he is less of a doubt than Lens, who is nursing a groin injury. Central defender Younes Kaboul will return to the squad after recovering from a hamstring problem which has sidelined him since before Christmas, but midfielder Sebastian Larsson (knee) is still out.

Newcastle (18) v West Brom (14)
Newcastle full back Paul Dummett (hamstring) and Chancel Mbemba (ankle) are injured and fellow central defender Jamaal Lascelles is suspended following his red card at Everton, while midfielder Jack Colback, a candidate to fill in at left back, is also out with a hamstring problem. Midfielder Cheick Tiote is available after his proposed move to Shanghai Shenhua fell through, but McClaren will draft under-21s Callum Williams, Liam Gibson and Dan Barlaser into his squad.

West Brom have been dealt another injury blow ahead with the loss of Jonny Evans. The Northern Ireland international limped off against Swansea on Tuesday night with a hamstring problem and joins compatriot Chris Brunt (calf), James Morrison (hamstring) and Callum McManaman (ankle) on the sidelines. Saido Berahino will be in the squad against the club who had a bid for him rejected before the transfer deadline, although Baggies boss Tony Pulis says the striker is unlikely to start as he continues to build up his fitness.

Southampton (7) v West Ham (6)
Southampton can welcome back new striker Charlie Austin. The €6.5 million January signing from QPR, who scored the winner at Manchester United on his debut last weekend, has shaken off the knock which kept him out of the midweek draw at Arsenal. But full back Matt Targett will miss out after picking up an ankle injury in training and midfielder Steven Davis is a doubt with a hamstring problem.

West Ham can add strikers Andy Carroll and Emmanuel Emenike to their squad. Carroll is fit after missing four matches with a hamstring injury and new signing Emenike’s work permit has come through following his loan switch from Fenerbahce. Sam Byram hopes to shake off a knock and fellow defender Angelo Ogbonna should be fit after a bout of flu, but Manuel Lanzini and Diafra Sakho (both thigh) are still out.

Stoke (10) v Everton (11)
Stoke's new record signing Giannelli Imbula could make his debut while Philipp Wollscheid is set for a late fitness test. Midfielder Imbula arrived on transfer deadline day from Porto for €24 million but was not eligible to feature 24 hours later in Tuesday's 3-0 loss at Manchester United. Wollscheid (calf) was forced off early in that game but Potters boss Mark Hughes – definitely still without three other defensive options in Ryan Shawcross (back), Geoff Cameron (ankle) and Marc Wilson (knee) – is hopeful the German might be able to face the Toffees.

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is expected to recover from the back injury he sustained in midweek. Forward Kevin Mirallas is fit again after a tendon problem but goalkeeper Tim Howard (knee), defender John Stones and midfielder Muhamed Besic (both hamstring) will not feature. Deadline-day signing Oumar Niasse is awaiting final completion of his paperwork in order to join the matchday squad.

Swansea (16) v Crystal Palace (12)
Ki Sung-yueng sits out for Swansea because of concussion suffered at West Brom on Tuesday. Italian striker Alberto Paloschi stands by to start after making his debut as a substitute at West Brom and Leroy Fer, who joined on loan from QPR on deadline day, is in the Swansea squad for the first time.

Palace could be without James McArthur for the rest of the season after the midfielder confirmed he had suffered ankle ligament damage during Tuesday’s defeat to Bournemouth. Jason Puncheon also suffered a hamstring injury in the match and manager Alan Pardew has said the winger will be absent for a “long period”. Dwight Gayle, Yohan Cabaye and Sullay Kaikai are available for the trip to Wales after overcoming injuries but Yannick Bolasie is still recovering from his hip injury, although he could be available again later this month.

Tottenham (3) v Watford (9)
Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful Dele Alli will be available for Tottenham. He came off at half-time in the Norwich match feeling dizzy but the in-form youngster has returned to training and will be assessed ahead of the weekend. Fellow midfielder Ryan Mason could also feature after recovering from an ankle injury but Clinton Njie and Jan Vertonghen are both out with knee problems.

Etienne Capoue and Miguel Britos will both be assessed. Defender Britos missed the goalless draw against Chelsea on Wednesday through illness while former Spurs midfielder Capoue, substituted after 87 minutes, is also under the weather. On-loan defender Nathan Ake returns after being ineligible to face his parent club and new signing Mario Suarez could be handed his first start. Defenders Tommie Hoban (groin) and Joel Ekstrand (knee) both continue their rehabilitation.

SUNDAY

Bournemouth (15) v Arsenal (4) - Live Sky Sports 1, 1.30pm
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe will make a late call on Junior Stanislas's availability after the winger suffered a knee injury two weeks ago. Fellow forward Josh King came off the bench in the 2-1 midweek win at Crystal Palace and could be in line to start as he continues his return to full fitness following a hamstring problem. Max Gradel and Callum Wilson remain on the long-term absentee list.

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns. Midfielder Tomas Rosicky (thigh) could be out for up to three months while defender Per Mertesacker will be hopeful of a recall having been on the bench for Tuesday’s goalless draw with Southampton. Manager Arsene Wenger believes forward Danny Welbeck could be back in three weeks after returning to training following a knee injury, while Santi Cazorla (knee) and Jack Wilshere (leg) are also missing.

Chelsea (13) v Manchester United (5)
Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard is expected to return to the starting line-up. Hazard began his first game since a groin injury at MK Dons in the FA Cup last weekend and is anticipated to make his first Premier League start for five weeks against United. Pedro (groin) is expected to be fit after missing the midweek draw at Watford, but Loic Remy (calf) and fellow striker Radamel Falcao (thigh) remain out and Alexandre Pato is not yet match-fit so will not be in the squad.

Manchester United are still without a number of players for the trip to west London. Defender Phil Jones (ankle) is close to returning to action but the game at Stamford Bridge comes too soon. Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young and Bastian Schweinsteiger also remain on the sidelines while there could be a doubt over midfielder Marouane Fellaini after a knock in the midweek win over Stoke.
