SATURDAY (Kick off 3.0 unless stated)

Bournemouth (19) v Everton (7)

Artur Boruc is a doubt with a slight knee issue and will be assessed ahead of Roberto Martinez’s side arriving on the south coast. Winger Marc Pugh is expected to miss out, still struggling with a calf issue, despite signing a two-and-a-half-year contract extension in midweek.

Leighton Baines could be part of Everton’s match day squad for the first time this season as he steps up his rehabilitation from an ankle injury. Fit-again midfielder Muhamed Besic, but otherwise Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is set to pick from the same group as he did for the 4-0 victory over Aston Villa last Saturday.

Palace manager Alan Pardew will be without Bakary Sako and Dwight Gayle. Both are suffering with hamstring injuries, the former injuring himself after coming on as a substitute during Monday’s 1-0 home defeat by Sunderland. In their absence, and amid Pardew’s caution surrounding Marouane Chamakh, who is still recovering his match fitness following an abductor problem, Connor Wickham is again expected to start.

Jack Colback could return to the Newcastle squad after recovering from a knee injury. The midfielder has not been involved since damaging his knee during the derby defeat to former club Sunderland in October, but is back in training and available for selection, as is goalkeeper Karl Darlow (ankle). However, midfielder Cheick Tiote (groin) is out and full-back Massadio Haidara is due to undergo surgery to repair a knee cartilage problem and will be sidelined for four months.

Leicester (1) v Manchester United (2) (Kick off: 5.30)

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy has been battling a minor hip problem but is fit to face United as he seeks to set a Premier League record by scoring in an 11th consecutive match. Matty James is the only absentee for Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri as the midfielder continues to recover from a long-term knee injury.

Defender Phil Jones (ankle) and midfielder Ander Herrera (hamstring) are out for Manchester United. Midfielder Michael Carrick is unlikely to feature as he is still recovering from the ankle injury he suffered playing for England against Spain two weeks ago. Long-term absentees Luke Shaw (leg) and Antonio Valencia (foot) remain sidelined.

Manchester City (3) v Southampton (8)

Manchester City are without goalkeeper Joe Hart (hamstring). The England number one is likely to be out for around 10 days meaning Willy Caballero will deputise and former England international Richard Wright, 38, will come onto the bench nine years after his last top-flight appearance. Playmaker David Silva (ankle) is fit after nine games out and striker Wilfried Bony (hamstring) is also available but captain Vincent Kompany (calf), fellow defenders Pablo Zabaleta (knee) and Eliaquim Mangala (hamstring), and forward Samir Nasri (leg) are out.

Shane Long is in line to replace the suspended Graziano Pelle for Southampton. Republic of Ireland striker Long featured as one of three advanced midfielders supporting Pelle in Saints’ 1-0 home defeat to Stoke, but should now have the chance to lead the line. Pacy forward Sadio Mane should be fit to feature in behind Long as manager Ronald Koeman aims to keep faith with his 4-2-3-1 formation.

Jermain Defoe could be fit for Sunderland after the ankle injury he suffered during Monday night’s win at Crystal Palace did not turn out to be as serious as was first feared. Fabio Borini, who missed out at Palace because of an ankle problem, could also feature. Defender Billy Jones is suspended after a fifth booking of the season on Monday, while midfielder Liam Bridcutt has joined Leeds on loan.

Stoke defender Philipp Wollscheid is a doubt because of a sore pelvis. Marc Muniesa has overcome his hamstring injury and could come into the starting XI should the German be ruled out. Midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri is fit despite coming off in the win over Southampton because of a hamstring problem but veteran goalkeeper Shay Given is out with a long-term knee injury.

SUNDAY

Liverpool (9) v Swansea (14) (Kick off: 4.15)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will wait until the last minute to assess the fitness of playmaker Philippe Coutinho. The Brazil international missed the midweek Europa League win over Bordeaux with a hamstring problem sustained at Manchester City last weekend. Klopp will also take a late view on striker Daniel Sturridge, who reported a foot problem in the week, but midfielder Lucas Leiva is suspended meaning Joe Allen is likely to deputise.

England midfielder Jonjo Shelvey misses Swansea’s trip to his former club through suspension. Shelvey sits out the game at Anfield after collecting five bookings, but apart from that under-pressure Swansea manager Garry Monk has a full squad to choose from for Sunday’s Barclays Premier League game. Federico Fernandez, Jack Cork, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Jefferson Montero and Bafetimbi Gomis are all under consideration after missing the 2-2 home draw against Bournemouth last weekend, which extended Swansea’s poor league run to only one win from nine games.

Norwich (16) v Arsenal (4) (Kick off: 4.15)

Norwich will be without midfielder Alex Tettey (groin) but captain Russell Martin is back in contention after withdrawing late on from the squad to face Chelsea for personal reasons. Forward Kyle Lafferty has overcome a minor groin problem suffered playing for the under-21 side in midweek but winger Matt Jarvis (knee) remains sidelined.

Alexis Sanchez suffered a tightening in his hamstring after scoring twice for Arsenal in Tuesday’s Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb but is set to feature in East Anglia. Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have both overcome their own hamstring complaints and could feature at Carrow Road but Jack Wilshere (leg), Mikel Arteta and Theo Walcott (both calf), Francis Coquelin, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky (all knee) are missing.

Kyle Walker, Mousa Dembele and Danny Rose return after they were rested in the Europa League, but Erik Lamela (groin), Nabil Bentaleb, Nacer Chadli and Alex Pritchard (all ankle) are set to miss out again.

John Terry is a major doubt for Chelsea after he suffered an ankle injury in Tuesday’s Champions League win at Maccabi Tel Aviv, a game which Ramires missed. The midfielder is also doubtful for the Spurs clash, but Cesc Fabregas (toe) is fit. Striker Radamel Falcao (undisclosed) and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (knee) are nearing returns.

Mark Noble received his fifth yellow card of the campaign in West Ham’s loss to Tottenham last weekend and manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed either Pedro Obiang or Alex Song will start in his place. Both have been struggling with injury this season but are available for selection but Dimitri Payet (ankle), Enner Valencia (ankle/ foot) and Darren Randolph (knee) are all still out for West Ham.

Chris Brunt is banned for West Brom and Tony Pulis admits he has several unnamed injury worries for the trip to east London. Gareth McAuley is available after missing the 2-1 win over Arsenal through suspension. Jonas Olsson replaced McAuley against the Gunners and impressed while Saido Berahino may continue as a substitute with Salomon Rondon leading the line.
