AC Milan have not given up hope of signing Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o. The Rossoneri are still looking to acquire a top-class forward for next season after failing to finalise the transfer of Honduras striker David Suazo, who is set to join city rivals Inter Milan from Cagliari.
Thierry Henry's arrival at Barcelona from Arsenal has now increased speculation Eto'o could leave the Nou Camp this summer, with a switch to the Premier League also rumoured.
Barca president Joan Laporta announced yesterday he intends to keep Eto'o, but Milan president Silvio Berlusconi still has a glimmer of hope that the Cameroon international will join them this summer.
"We hope to find a player suitable for the standards of Milan," said Berlusconi. "We are already champions of Europe and we expect a lot from Ronaldo this season. We will have to wait and see about Eto'o."
