The Republic of Ireland's opening Euro 2008 qualifier against Germany will have an evening kick-off after the German FA confirmed the match details today.
Steve Staunton's side travel to Stuttgart to face the World Cup bronze medallists on Saturday, September 2nd with the match now scheduled to start at 8.45pm local time (7.45pm Irish).
The Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion, which has been extensively redeveloped since Ray Houghton scored his famous winner against England in 1998, will play host as Ireland attempt to get their campaign off to a positive start.
Stauton, who has just two friendlies under his belt during his short reign as manager, will complete his build-up when Holland visit Lansdowne Road on August 16th.
