Colin Healy has completed his move to Cork City and will join Damien Richardson's side on a two-year deal.
The 26-year-old, released from his contract with Barnsley earlier this month, has struggled to make an impact in England in recent seasons.
The Cork man will make his debut alongside fellow new recruit Gareth Farrelly in Friday's friendly with Waterford United.
"It's a great pleasure to welcome Colin on board," said Richardson. "It is a great compliment to the club and the quality of the league that a player of his calibre has decided to join."
