Arsenal have been dealt a potentially crippling blow ahead of tomorrow's Champions League tie with Hamburg after captain Thierry Henry picked up a foot injury in training this morning.

Henry will now miss the game in Germany according to the club, who have managed just two goals in three games this season.

Arsenal have two points from a possible 12 in the Premier League after what has been the worst start under manager Arsene Wenger.

Without Henry in their attack, which has misfired badly since the opening 1-1 draw against Aston Villa, the Gunners' chances of getting off to a bright start in Europe look notably slimmer than they did last night.

Some consolation comes from the news that England under-21 forward Theo Walcott returns to the squad after being rested at the weekend, while new signing Julio Baptista also travels.

Goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is available again following suspension from the first leg of the qualifiers, while William Gallas should continue at left-back, with Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin van Persie likely to lead the attack.

Gael Clichy (foot), Philippe Senderos (shoulder), Abou Diaby (ankle) and Lauren (knee) all still working on match fitness.

Squad: Lehmann, Almunia, Gallas, Toure, Djourou, Eboue, Hoyte, Fabregas, Song, Ljungberg, Gilberto, Flamini, Hleb, Baptista, Walcott, Rosicky, Van Persie, Adebayor.
