PSV Eindhoven striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has warned Celtic they will have to improve the personal terms they are prepared to offer if they want to sign the Holland international.

Over the weekend PSV general manager Stan Valckx confirmed the Dutch club were bracing themselves to lose their top striker and that the clubs had agreed on a fee.

He said: "There is a big difference between what Celtic are offering and what I'm wanting.

"I have enjoyed my time at PSV. I have all the time in the world. Leaving PSV is not a necessity for me, I don't have to go and in fact part of me doesn't want to go.

"I will only go if the whole package is perfect. Celtic are a fantastic club with great supporters and the club has a lot of history.

"Of course it's different from the Premiership but it's all to do with your gut feeling and I have a good feeling about going to Celtic, so long as the package is good."
