SPL: Hearts lost the Edinburgh derby 2-1 to Hibernian and slipped up in the race for second place in the SPL and a Champions League slot.
Hibs grabbed the lead after 15 minutes when Ivan Sproule raced at goal before finding Derek Riordan who fired a low shot into the bottom corner.
Hearts levelled before the interval through Czech Republic striker Roman Bednar. However, Moroccan Abdessalam Benjelloun scored a late winner after a Paul Dalglish pass in the 78th minute.
Hearts are second in the standings with 68 points from 35 games. Third-placed Rangers, who have 63 points, face bitter rivals and champions Celtic on Sunday.
