League Cup & transfers: First Division leaders Limerick FC will host holders Derry City in the semi-finals of the eircom League Cup, the draw for which was made at Dalymount Park last night.
Although keen to retain their trophy, Stephen Kenny's men will face a tough encounter at Hogan Park against a confident Limerick side riding high in their own division.
The other tie sees Dublin rivals Shelbourne and Bohemians clash at Tolka Park.
Having endured a frustrating league campaign to date, Gareth Farrelly's Bohemians side will relish the opportunity of securing a final spot and with it the potential of Setanta Cup football next season.
Drogheda United, meanwhile, have completed the signing of Bohemians striker Tony Grant. A fee was exchanged and Mark Leech - scorer of the winning goal in this season's Setanta Cup final - also moves to the Dublin club on loan until the end of the season.
