Substitute Kris Boyd scored the winning penalty as Rangers lifted the CIS Insurance League Cup after twice coming from behind and beating Dundee United in a shootout.
The striker came off the bench in the second half to cancel out Noel Hunt's first-half opener for the Tannadice side, and then netted again eight minutes from the end of extra-time to make it 2-2 after Mark de Vries again put United in front.
Both sides hit the woodwork in the penalty shootout, but Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor saved from David Robertson and Lee Wilkie, allowing Boyd to step up and net the winner.
