Rio Ferdinand has been ruled out of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Arsenal tomorrow because of a calf injury. The England defender will not be risked in the Old Trafford clash, where a point will be enough for the Red Devils to retain the league title.

Ferdinand could return for the final league game of the season at Hull a week on Sunday, and failing that should be in line to feature in the Champions League final against Barcelona on May 27th.

Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin is fit again following a virus ahead of the trip to the champions elect.

However, goalkeeper Manuel Almunia (ankle) will miss out. Long-term absentee Tomas Rosicky is back in training, but will not play again this season. Full-back Gael Clichy (back), William Gallas (knee) and striker Eduardo (groin) are all sidelined.
