Injury likely to restrict Saha's role

Alex Ferguson expects Louis Saha to be on the bench for tomorrow's encounter with Sunderland at Old Trafford.

Alex Ferguson expects Louis Saha to be on the bench for tomorrow's encounter with Sunderland at Old Trafford.

The French striker suffered an injury in training yesterday but Ferguson has played down fears Saha could be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign, and believes he will be back in contention for a starting berth against Tottenham on
Easter Monday.

Ferguson intends to recall Wes Brown against the Black Cats while Gabriel Heinze could be on the bench for the first time since rupturing cruciate ligaments in the Champions League clash with Villarreal in September.

Rory Delap is prepared to play through the pain barrier for Sunderland in what is a must-win game. The Republic of Ireland international broke his nose in the early stages of last week's abandoned home game with Fulham but has declared himself available knowing that unless the Black Cats win they will be relegated.
