Kim Kallstrom has been recalled by Sweden coach Erik Hamren ahead of next week’s World Cup qualifier against the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.
Kallstrom, a teammate of Aiden McGeady at Spartak Moscow, had fallen out of favour with Hamren after failing to nail down a first team place since his move to Russia,
However, with Rasmus Elm ruled out of the qualifying clash at the Aviva Stadium with a leg injury, Hamren has named the veteran Kallstrom in his squad for the matches against Ireland and Kazakhstan.
