Robbie Keane believes last night's stunning comeback against Aston Villa proves how determined Tottenham players are to turn the season around for boss Martin Jol.
Jol's future has been uncertain since Spurs officials met Sevilla coach Juande Ramos at the start of the season - and the Dutchman appeared on the brink when Villa went 4-1 ahead at White Hart Lane.
It would have been an embarrassing defeat on their 125th anniversary and on a night when they paraded legends of the club and the trophies they won.
Losing by a three-goal margin would have seen Spurs drop a place to 19th but Pascal Chimbonda started the comeback, Keane added another from the penalty spot and Younes Kaboul lashed into the top corner to save a point, with the team dashing to the bench to celebrate with Jol.
"You should have seen him at the end when we scored the goal," Keane said. "He had the support from everyone. He's shown what a good manager he is over the past couple of years."
Jol joked that at 4-1 he was not thinking about his future any more than he has since opening week of the season when Spurs lost twice and the infamous meeting with Ramos emerged.
"I've been thinking about it since August 14th," Jol said. "I'm always thinking about the future because I want to be better and better."
Spurs took the lead through Dimitar Berbatov's header but Martin Laursen took advantage of two mistakes by England goalkeeper Paul Robinson to edge Villa ahead.
"He (Robinson) said 'it was my mistake, I hold my hands up, sorry'," Jol added. "But his confidence is fine."
Gabriel Agbonlahor added another before the break then could have had a penalty just after the restart, only for referee Mike Dean to wave play on after Robinson and brought down the England Under-21 forward.
Craig Gardner's free-kick put Villa in control before Spurs staged their comeback.
Villa boss Martin O'Neill was upset as Jermain Defoe looked offside for Kaboul's stoppage-time equaliser, but he remained upbeat.
"I'm obviously disappointed for the travelling fans who have been cheering us on since I arrived at the club and a lot longer than that," he said.
"But they've seen some really exciting football. If they can look at the wider picture of it, it augers well. I don't want to mask how disappointed I am though."
